Senior IT Project Manager
My Dublin-based client is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to join their team on an initial 6-month daily-rate contract, with strong potential for extension.
The organisation has a significant programme of work planned over the next 3 - 4 years, making this an excellent opportunity to secure a role with genuine long-term potential.
You’ll be joining a high-profile, well-established organisation with a strong market reputation, working on projects that have visibility across both IT and the wider business.
The Role
We’re looking for a confident, hands-on Project Manager who can take ownership from initiation through to delivery and operate comfortably at senior stakeholder level.
Key areas of responsibility and experience include:
  • End-to-end project management, covering planning, delivery, budgets, risks and dependencies
  • Strong, well-rounded IT Project Management experience
  • Excellent stakeholder management, including engagement with senior leadership and executives
  • Group-level reporting and governance
  • Confidence presenting and communicating at senior stakeholder meetings
  • A strong understanding of how technology projects impact both IT and the wider business
  • Ideally, experience delivering projects involving AI, Data or emerging technologies
Experience Required
The successful candidate will have:
  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong Project and Programme Management experience across IT and Business Technology
  • A proven track record of personally leading and delivering significant projects or programmes
  • Experience managing large-scale or complex technology projects, ideally spanning infrastructure, software and/or business applications
  • Experience working within regulated environments
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead teams and work closely with business stakeholders through change
  • The ability to clearly articulate complex messages and present effectively to all levels of an organisation, including senior leadership and executives
  • Experience within Insurance, Financial Services or a similarly regulated industry would be advantageous
  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • A proactive, decisive approach - someone who is comfortable taking ownership, challenging issues when required and stepping in to get things done when a project needs additional support
This is a role for a credible, hands-on Senior Project Manager who can operate strategically with senior stakeholders while remaining close enough to the detail to drive delivery.
